The role
This key role will provide comprehensive and robust administration support to our busy office in Glasgow. The role will support all aspects of administration, reception, call handing as well as providing general office support to ensure the smooth running of the office. The role will also be responsible for administration to support the People & Facilities portfolio, as well all aspects of our work in our premises and will be flexible in nature to adapt to the priorities of the charity at any set time.
The person
You’ll have at least one year’s experience of providing administrative support within a busy office or similar environment, although above all you will have high attention to detail, adopt a flexible approach and a willingness to undertake a wide and varied range of tasks. We’re looking for someone who has the confidence to operate within a team and engage with people at all levels, internally and externally. You’ll have excellent IT skills and be confident in using all Microsoft Office packages as well as knowledge of how an office operates on a daily basis.

Working as part of the Registered and Commissioned Services/Community Connections team you will have responsibility for ensuring that services are of the highest quality and meet Alzheimer Scotland’s vision for unique therapeutic, highly person-centred support.
You will work with the wider team and Day Services Manager to ensure safe practice and delivery of high-quality, person-centred, therapeutic Registered and Commissioned Services/Community Connections, ensuring practice complies with Alzheimer Scotland’s policies. You will contribute to evidencing, reviewing and continually improving the quality of the services and will participate in internal audit and Care Inspectorate inspections.
You may operate within a building-based Day Care or as part of a Community Connection team delivering Community Groups and Outreach services across an allocated area. At times, this will involve working without supervision in the absence of the Day Services Manager.
You will work with the wider team to evidence that services meet Alzheimer Scotland’s Quality Guarantees, Scotland’s Health and Social Care standards and other quality frameworks including those of the Care Inspectorate where relevant. As Driver within our Renfrewshire services, you will be responsible for transporting people to and from our Day Care service via minibus. This role may involve a number of journeys throughout the day within the local area, picking up and dropping off attendees back to their homes.
This role may require a degree of moving and assisting support to help support attendees enter and exit the bus safely.
A critical element of the role includes the responsibility for ensuring the vehicle is in a clean and safe condition, including the completion of regular safety and quality checks.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a supportive experience during the travel to an Alzheimer Scotland activity. It is essential that the Driver has good communication skills and a caring approach to ensure a welcoming and inclusive approach as a first point of contact with the charity. The Support Worker will provide a combination of personal care, care at home and housing support to people with dementia in their own homes. The post holder will be part of a dedicated team that will ensure that the highest quality of service is provided.
We are looking for a unique person who can support people with dementia, living within their own home in a Supported Living Service, personalised to the tenants needs.
Our support workers are our most important people as they provide front line support.
Our support workers help tenants to maintain skills and independence by providing support and care with all aspects of daily living.
