We are recruiting for 2 Finance Assistants:
One role will have a primary focus on our accounts receivable function ensuring all accounts receivable documents are issued, recorded, and reported on our systems timely and accurately.
The other role will have a primary focus on our accounts payable function, mainly ensuring our staff expense claims and similar accounts payable documents are processed in line with deadlines and procedures. Both roles will support with the wider finance function and tasks when required.
You will be a strong communicator and able to balance competing priorities. You will have experience of working with a wide range of office systems including Microsoft 365 and databases or financial systems.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Alzheimer Scotland as a Centres Lead on a permanent full time basis.
The Centres Lead will lead and manage a team of local managers providing Alzheimer Scotland’s programme of support for people concerned about their brain health or affected by dementia. The Centres Lead will be key to the successful delivery of Alzheimer Scotland’s vision to develop a programme of brain health and dementia support at identified centres across Scotland. Alzheimer Scotland is named after Alois (A-lo-ish) Alzheimer who first identified the brain disease we now recognise as the leading cause of dementia. By building a range of engaging and supportive services in the heart of their community, the Centres Lead will ensure that people have access to: Advice - our expert advisors can offer one-to-one help with anything from building cognitive resilience, to managing money matters and legal issues. Listening - we offer places to be heard, whatever the question or concern, whenever help is needed. Opportunities - to connect, learn and share with others in a similar situation. Information - on all stages of the brain health journey, whether someone is worried about their brain health or living and caring well with dementia. Support - everyone is welcome in our Centres, where those affected by dementia can feel safe with trusted staff who understand what they’re going through. We are looking for a dynamic person who will support and deliver the ALOIS programme, leading a team of Centre Managers across Scotland to bring the programme to life.
Working with individuals and families, Centres Lead will be required to have a warm, flexible approach, as well as skills in empathy and relationship building. We are looking for someone who has strong networking skills and experience of collaborating and developing partnerships both internally and externally.
Line management responsibilities for a number of Centre Managers is an expected part of the role, including creation a programme for their development and support. Some travel within Scotland will be required.

Contract: 1 permanent, part time position (21 hours a week)
We are looking for an individual who can carry out a variety of duties within a locality office based in Clydebank that provides support for people with dementia and their carers, in a variety of environments, personalised to the individual’s needs across Dunbartonshire. You will act as the first point of contact for people phoning or calling at the service office and you should have a positive approach to dementia.
The role will consist of processing correspondence and other tasks such as photocopying, maintaining records, compiling statistics and databases for the Commissioned Service Lead and other staff as required. Strong IT skills essential. Ensure that all mail is collated, franked/ stamped and taken to the post office by the end of the working day.
Undertaking finance tasks in accordance with organisation guidelines. To assist in the preparation and issuing of invoices to carers, people with dementia and health and care partnership when applicable. To bank receipts, submit finance documents and records to the national office on a weekly basis, reconcile petty cash each month and to collate salary information and ensure that details are properly authorised with the Payroll Administrator by the due date each month.
You will also have good organisational and communication skills. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.

A great opportunity is now available at Alzheimer Scotland, supporting our Stakeholder Engagement team raise vital funds to make sure that nobody faces dementia alone.
This role can be based in either of our city centre offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh. Potential hybrid working may be considered. You will also need to be able to travel to a range of other locations occasionally, as required by the organisation.
This Administrator role will focus on supporting people who are interested in taking part in third party/sponsored events to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland, or who have already registered at these events. You will play a vital role in their supporter journey with our charity, ensuring they get the information, items and help they need from us to raise as much as they can and enjoy themselves while they do it. You will often be their first point of contact, so you need to be passionate about providing first class care to our supporters in an effective, efficient and enthusiastic way.
You will also be responsible for data entry and management relating to third party/sponsored event participation, so organisational skills and attention to detail are paramount to this role. We want someone who understands and uses processes with confidence and can complete reports and tasks to a high standard.
In the role, you will also be working closely with the wider Stakeholder Engagement team, supporting the team on key projects and administrative tasks, as well as other staff, volunteers, supporters and external partners. You will be vital to the success of our activities – you need to be able to think for yourself and have a creative approach to solving problems, as well as anticipating the needs of the team.
