Contract Details: 1 position, permanent, 17.5 hours
The Community Activities Organiser will work alongside the Dementias Advisor and play a key role in sourcing, planning, organising and facilitating social, recreational and therapeutic activities in the local community. Ensuring that people living with dementia are encouraged to reach their full potential and can participate in a varied range of activities which are designed to enhance their quality of life.
The successful applicants will have excellent communication and interpersonal community skills, with the ability to show empathy and understanding, be resilient, imaginative and resourceful. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage. A good knowledge of social media and digital platforms is essential.
