Contract: 1 position, temporary to 31 March 2023 (possibility of extension, dependent on funding), 18 hours per week (post at 6x 3hr sessions Mon-Fri.)
We are looking for unique people who can support younger people living with dementia (under 65), in a variety of environments, personalised to the individual’s needs.
Our support workers provide front line social and therapeutic support. They help people living with dementia to maintain skills and independence by providing company and support to socialise and participate in activities either at home, out in the community or in a day opportunities setting.
Successful applicants will have a positive creative approach to dementia. You will also have good communication skills and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn and participate in training (including SVQ’s) is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.
Full driving license and access to a vehicle during working time is essential for this post. Travel expenses will be paid
