Locality Leader - Aberdeen
Job description
Locality Leader - Covering: Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire & Moray (based in Aberdeen)
Contract: 1 Vacancy, Permanent, 35 hours/ week
An exciting and highly rewarding opportunity to undertake a key role in leading and managing the delivery and development of high quality and innovative services and activities to people living with dementia and their families.
This role is pivotal to our success in achieving our strategy and vision in delivering the 7 - Dimension Model and Pathway for supporting people living with dementia in our Localities.
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland's leading dementia charity, offering specialist support services, community activities, information and advice at every stage of the dementia journey from over 60 locations across Scotland from Shetland to the Borders. We campaign for the rights of people living with dementia and their families and provide an extensive range of innovative and personalised support.
Based in Aberdeen, the Locality Leader will work with the Head of Localities to ensure the delivery of our 7 - Dimension Model across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray and the wider locality. Building upon strong local connections with donors, supporters and other stakeholders, you will help create a self-sustaining model of activities and support that maximises the potential use of our fundraised income, resources, facilities and expertise.
You will undertake a leading role in the delivery of a person-centred locality plan that supports the outcomes for people living with dementia and ensures all services and activities are delivered within the Alzheimer Scotland's Quality Framework.
You will maintain an overview of Registered Services in South Aberdeenshire and will work closely with the Head of Localities in adopting a flexible approach to locality planning and service delivery, development and growth as well as managing the locality budget. You will foster and enable a culture of positive engagement and effective collaboration both within your team and with fundraising, communications & marketing and other colleagues within the organisation as well as key external stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has skills, experience and talent to make a real difference to people's lives that encourages a creative, innovative and resourceful approach to your work.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required and a driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for the role.
