Brain Health Scotland is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Education Programme Coordinator.
Established in 2020, Brain Health Scotland has been created by Alzheimer Scotland and the Scottish Government to improve brain health across the life course and reduce the incidence of dementia.
We seek to develop a national educational programme to raise awareness and increase understanding of brain health amongst young people. The post holder will develop this evidence-based programme in partnership with education and health experts, local authorities, schools and colleges across Scotland.
The postholder will bring enthusiasm, creativity and a positive attitude to this role, which will involve independent working and travel across Scotland.
Working to objectives set out within the overall Brain Health Scotland Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a programe that promotes knowledge of important factors for maintaining brain health from childhood onwards – specifically improved fitness, social connectivity, optimal nutrition and reduction in risks like smoking, head injury and alcohol use.
