VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR - HELENSBURGH
HOURS:
1 Position, 17.5 hours per week. The post is permanent.
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Volunteer Coordinator who will support our established team of volunteers as well as recruiting and supporting new volunteers on an ongoing basis.
THE ORGANISATION
Alzheimer Scotland is the country's leading dementia
organisation. We campaign for the rights of people living with dementia and their families, and provide an extensive range of dynamic, innovative and personalised support services in local communities. We have many volunteers supporting our activities and we recognise that these essential roles enable us to reach so many people.
THE POSITION
The key role of the Volunteer Coordinator will be to:
* Maintain a network of supported and trained volunteers
* Provide opportunities for learning and development of volunteers
* Be able to reduce social isolation, and increase motivation and confidence, for those living with dementia and their carers
* Work in partnership with colleagues and other organisations to develop volunteering opportunities
* Identify new volunteering opportunities and recruit and support new volunteers appropriately
* Capture feedback, articulate outcomes and complete regular reports
THE LOCATION
The post-holder will be based in Alzheimer Scotland's Dementia Resource Centre at 23 - 25 East Princes Street, Helensburgh.
